Here we go!
Since 2003, the Hobart Theatre Summer School has brought together some of Tasmania’s most talented young performers to create a full-scale musical production during the summer holidays.
In 2027, we’re taking an exciting new step in the program’s history! For the very first time, the Hobart Theatre Summer School will take to the main stage of the Theatre Royal, bringing the worldwide smash-hit musical MAMMA MIA! to life.
Following an extensive audition process, an extraordinary cast of 44 young Tasmanian performers has been assembled, ready to bring the sunshine, sequins and sensational music of ABBA to one of Tasmania’s most iconic stages.
Packed with unforgettable songs, larger-than-life characters, comedy and heart, MAMMA MIA! promises to be a spectacular celebration of young Tasmanian talent and an exciting new chapter for the Hobart Theatre Summer School.
