It’s Christmas for Old Nickers…

Hello Old Nickers! Not quite “Merry Christmas” (not until December you naughty supermarket chains!) but we’re here to talk all things christmassy anyway. It’s almost time for the annual Old Nick members’ Christmas bash! However this year Daddy Abetz says to tighten those pursestrings for pain ahead - we’ve got to pay for that stadium somehow! - and with that in mind the boffins at Old Nick HQ thought maybe a casual Christmas catch up at Letitia Street was more the speed of a state in the midst of a “holding budget”.

But don’t get too down because we went behind Father Abetzmas’ back and we’ll be bringing a very late Christmas present this year - the 75th anniversary video A Devil of a Time: 75 Years of Old Nick’s Uni Revue will be released! And as a special event for our members, we’ll be showing the finished product. Copies will also be available to purchase so you can shove that right in your stocking!

So put it in your calendars: on December 14th from 5PM, come on down to Old Nick at 50A Letitia Street. We’ll have beer, cider, wine and soft drink (sorry, there’s no hard liquor for the kids, they’ll have to have their tonic neat) and we’ll be firing up the barbecue. We’ll put on some platters of nibbles and things, and we’ll make sure there’s plenty of seating in case your legs get tired. Summer School will have been rehearsing, so you can say hello to the STARS OF TOMORROW, and then around 6:30 we’ll chuck on A Devil of a Time and we can all reminisce about how much better the show was before WOKE ruined everything.
