Grab your dancing queens and get ready for a summer of ABBA!
Tickets for Old Nick Company’s Hobart Theatre Summer School production of MAMMA MIA! are on sale now!
From 22–30 January 2027, 44 brilliant young Tasmanian performers will bring this worldwide musical phenomenon to life as Summer School takes to the Theatre Royal main stage for the very first time.
On a sun-soaked Greek island, Sophie is preparing to marry the love of her life. After discovering her mum Donna’s old diary, she secretly invites three men from Donna’s past to the wedding, hoping to discover which one is her dad. What could possibly go wrong?
Featuring ABBA favourites including Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! and The Winner Takes It All, MAMMA MIA! is packed with comedy, heart and the songs you know and love.
Our exceptional creative team includes Director Rebecca Oliver-Black, Choreographer Bonnie Cashion, Musical Directors Andrew Castles and Sheng-Yuan Lynch, and Vocal Director Brett Budgeon.
Since 2003, Summer School has given young Tasmanian performers the opportunity to learn, connect and create a full-scale musical together. We can’t wait to share this exciting next chapter with you.
Join us at the Theatre Royal this January, and thank you for the music!
