THE UNI REVUE

The Old Nick Uni Revue has been running since 1948

Originally part of a UTAS society, Old Nick has produced the “Varsity Revue” since 1948. The show must go on - the Uni Revue has been a fixture of the Tasmanian theatre landscape every year since its inception and nothing has stopped it yet, not bushfires, not the Theatre Royal burning down, not a global pandemic! Revue has always been a uniquely Tasmanian song and dance comedy show with a strong political bent.

Uni Revue has also been a unique training ground for young Tasmanians, offering a chance for even the least experienced person to tread the boards on Tasmania’s most prestigious stages.

Usually taking place in May, Uni Revue can be seen at the Theatre Royal in Hobart and the Princess Theatre in Launceston.
